Eggsessive Crave was created from the love and care I have for baking. My name is Amanda Lau and I’m the owner and pastry chef of Eggsessive Crave. I started baking and cooking when I was a child from recipes my grandpa handed down to me. I attended Kendall College in Chicago, IL for my love for food. Although I’ve received my degree in Culinary Arts my knowledge for baking and pastry are self-taught. It’s always been an instant gratification of mine when I see the people I love; love what I’ve made with my own hands. I often bake for my long-term boyfriend, Donald and his shipmates who are currently in the U.S. Navy. I’m humbled every time Donald comes home and all the Tupperware of cake scraps are licked clean. My family, my friends, and Donald’s friends have always encouraged me to start selling my baked goods. After some careful consideration and planning, I finally did and it was an amazing feeling to be able to put so much care and love into what I’ve baked and been able to share it with people. I’ve always fantasized about the day I would open my own business and today I get to live my dream by doing what I love and it’s thanks to you, my supporters.
